- Dimensions and Characteristics
Tubes made of PE 80 and PE 100 resin, for water supply and / or conduction of liquids under pressure
in diameters from 20 mm to 500 mm, take into account considerations of DIN 8074, IRAM 13485-98 regulations, which emerge from the ISO 4427:1996 standard.
Polyethylene tubes are also used for gas networks, following the ISO 4437, British Gas and
NGA 1-129 standards.
Furthermore, it counts with the permission of the Institute of Gas Argentina under the license number * 1740.
Have been consulted are other, with the following:
ISO 161-1, ISO 1133, ISO 1167, ISO 2505-1, ISO 2505-2, ISO 3126, ISO 4065, ISO 6964,
TR ISO 9080, ISO TR 10837, ISO 11420, ISO / DIS 12162 rules for determining the specifications of polyethylene tubes have also been consulted.
A highly equipped quality control laboratory enables the company to ensure the quality of its products,
with the ability to perform all tests required in the same industrial plant without having the need to outsource them. The following controls are particularly important in the production of pipes for gas pipelines.
Pigment Dispersion
Tensile
Resistance to hydrostatic pressure
Density
Melt index
Thermal stability
Dimensional Testing
Thus, pipes produced by Thyssen Plastic Solution meet the most stringent international requirements, including the following standards: DIN 8074, ISO 4427, ISO 4437, NGA 129
Pigment Dispersion
Thin films taken from the tube wall are analyzed microscopically to ensure proper dispersion of the pigment.
Tensile Specimens are subjected to standard tensile tests, where material values exceed elongation of 350% and stress at yield over 19 meganewton per square meter.
Resistance to hydrostatic pressure
The tubes are subjected to a bath at 80 ° C timed for long periods, must withstand internal pressures greater than 4meganewton per square meter.
Density
Small portions of pipe are placed in a thermostated water column with isopropanol, calibrated by tracer pattern for determiningthe density of the material.
Flow index
Four grams of pipe material are placed on a team under pressure MeltFlow of 5 kg. to determine values of fluidity and viscosity of the material.
Thermal stability
Small samples of the tubes are placed in a differential calorimeter under inert atmosphere, then som ete the sample to a flow of oxygen to determine the isothermal oxidation using appropriate software.
Dimensional Testing
Thickness, diameter, eccentricity and ovalación periodically determined in the laboratory and on-line through ultrasonicexamination of the material in production. In addition, Thyssen Plastic Solution ;produces with high-technology, includingrigorous testing to control dimensional online permanently the quality of their products.
Thus, the tubes produced by Thyssen Plastic Solution meet the most stringent worldwide, including the following rules:
DIN 8074, ISO 4427, ISO 4437, NGA 129
Top Union
In the first type accessories are not required, being welded two tubes together.
For this type of union Thyssen Solution Plastic offers machinery and tooling to weld pipes from 40mm up to 1200mm diameter.
In the second type, accessories are used from 125mm diameter, and require special tooling.
Plastic Solution Thyssen produce modern machinery, faceted accessories as elbows, "T" or "Y" from the hot melt system itself.
Electro fusion jointing
This system allows the joint of tubes in a very short time, through a special accessory in which the ends of both tubes are inserted, and it is connected to a device that sends electrical energy resulting in heat, achieving fusion.
For this system there is only one technique used in all tubes, changing accessories, amount of heat and time required, according to the diameter and tube walls. Electro fusion joints are highly convenient and allow branches, deviations, etc. without having to cut the main supply, enabling further testing in
installations before operating them.
Compression Union
Joints can be made with diameters up to 110mm with accessories called "compression accessories." Through them, the ends of two tubes of equal or different diameter can be joined mechanically or merge with another piece.
The union is achieved by compressing a seal in between, "O ring" type, which acts as a claw holding the pipe and a cone that is attached to the tube pressing the claw into the tube.
Thyssen Plastic Solution provides all the necessary accessories and specialized personal for proper installation.
